La joueuse locale Agnes Szavay s'est imposée à Budapest, dans le Grand Prix GDF Suez face à la Suisse Patty Schnyder qu'elle a battu en 2 sets 6-2 6-4. Tenante du titre, elle remporte son 4e tournoi sur le circuit officiel.
